Frequently asked questions

How My Class Place works.

Quick answers about student access, subscriptions, shared rosters, public displays, and the classroom tools.

Do students need email accounts?

No. Students join a teacher class using the class code and their assigned PIN.

Can one roster be used across the tools?

Yes. Classes, student names, PINs, and assigned markers are shared across the connected classroom tools.

What should I do if a student shares a PIN or signs in as another student?

Open Students, PINs & Markers and find that student. Choose Reset PIN & Sign Out to create a new PIN, disable the old PIN, and immediately sign the student out on every device.

What is the difference between Sign Out Everywhere and Reset PIN & Sign Out?

Sign Out Everywhere ends every active session but keeps the current PIN. Reset PIN & Sign Out creates a new PIN, disables the old PIN, and ends every active session.

Is there a trial?

Yes. New teacher accounts receive a 30-day full-access trial. No payment card is required to begin the trial.

What happens after the trial?

Teachers may choose a monthly or annual subscription to continue using the classroom tools after the trial ends. Account and subscription information remains available from the teacher account page.

What classroom tools are included?

My Class Place includes tools for student responding, help queues, classroom noise support, visual schedules, and collaborative goals. Visit the Features page for a detailed explanation of each tool and its classroom uses.

Can students see teacher controls?

No. Teacher management pages and public or student views are separate. Public displays show only the classroom information intended for students without exposing teacher-only controls.

How is student information handled?

Students do not need personal email accounts to participate. Teachers create class rosters and assign PINs, while teacher controls remain separate from student and public views. Teachers should enter only the student information they need to operate their classroom tools.

Can teachers use more than one tool with the same class?

Yes. A teacher can use multiple My Class Place tools with the same class roster instead of rebuilding the student list for every activity.

Are sessions, challenges, or schedules saved?

Yes, where the selected tool supports saved records. Teachers can return to histories, saved activities, challenges, or schedules without recreating everything from scratch.
